Your server, on your iPhone

If you run Audiobookshelf at home, point Audiobooks at it and your library shows up. Stream a book over the network, or download it first and listen offline on a plane or the subway. Your place, chapters, and speed carry through the same player you use for everything else.

Nothing routes through a middleman. The app talks to your server, and that is it.

One app for your server and your files

This is not the official Audiobookshelf app. It is an independent player that happens to connect to it. That has one nice side effect: the books on your server sit right next to the M4B and MP3 files you keep on your device, in one library, with one set of controls.

Run a different server? It also works as a Jellyfin audiobook player.

Bring your Audiobookshelf library along.

Free on the App Store. Works on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro.

Questions

Does it work with Audiobookshelf?

Yes. Point the app at your own Audiobookshelf server and it loads your library. You can stream a book or download it to listen offline.

Is this the official Audiobookshelf app?

No. Audiobooks is an independent player that connects to Audiobookshelf. It also plays your local MP3 and M4B files and can convert EPUBs, so it is one app for both your server and your own files.

Can I also play files that are not on my server?

Yes. Alongside your server, you can import local MP3 and M4B files from Files, AirDrop, or Wi-Fi transfer and play them in the same library.
